Resonance Retreats

Seasonal Reflective Practice Retreats for Music Therapists

A series of small group retreat days for music therapists to pause, reflect, replenish and sustain their practice.

At Resonance Creative Therapy, we believe that sustainable and reflective music therapy practice begins with the therapist. When we are supported to nurture our own well being, reflective capacity, creativity and relationship with music, we are better able to sustain ourselves and our therapeutic work.

Resonance Retreats offer music therapists dedicated time and space for reflection, creative renewal and professional nourishment. Held within small, supportive peer groups, these carefully facilitated retreat days provide opportunities to reconnect with yourself as a practitioner, deepen reflective and creative practice and support the sustainability of your work.

Hosted in a countryside setting in Farnham, Surrey, Resonance Retreats draw on surrounding gardens and woodland to create a grounded and restorative experience. Each retreat is shaped by seasonal themes, using the rhythms of nature as a framework for exploring growth, rest, transition and renewal, supporting well being and sustainable professional practice.

Accessibility & practical information

These retreats take place in a home and garden setting, with facilitated woodland walks as part of the retreat experience where appropriate. Access includes steps, and outdoor areas involve uneven ground.

Woodland walks offer time for reflection and connection with the natural environment and are facilitated as part of the group experience, with care and attention to pace, safety and individual needs.

We recognise that access to outdoor environments varies, and we are committed to working with participants to explore what is possible. If woodland walks are not accessible or appropriate, we can discuss adjustments or offer a fully online equivalent retreat day.

For in-person days, there are also comfortable indoor spaces for reflection and creative work, ensuring a balance between engagement with nature and individual needs.

If you have specific access requirements, we welcome a conversation in advance to explore how we can support your participation.
