Bereavement Support
We offer specialist bereavement support through individual and group therapy, creative projects, consultation, supervision and training for individuals, families, schools, organisations and professional teams.
Our bereavement work is informed by over 20 years of experience in paediatric palliative care and hospice settings, supporting children with life-limiting conditions and the people around them, including parents, siblings, extended family members and bereaved families. We recognise that grief is deeply individual, while also shaping and affecting the wider family and community around a person.
Alongside support following bereavement, we work with anticipatory grief, complex family experiences, memory-making and legacy work and the emotional impact of living alongside serious illness and loss. Our approach is creative, compassionate and responsive, shaped collaboratively to reflect the needs, experiences, and preferences of those we work with.
We also offer specialist consultation, reflective practice, supervision, and training for professionals and teams working in bereavement, paediatric palliative care, education and related settings. This work is grounded in ongoing clinical practice, doctoral research at the University of York exploring child and family experiences of music therapy in paediatric palliative care, and contributions to academic journals, books, and publications within the field.
